Australia Zoo Steve Holding a Crocodile

Internships/Volunteer Programs

The Australia Zoo's

Volunteer Program

A volunteer program is available at The Australia Zoo. If you are interested, you must contact The Australia Zoo to arrange an application and time for you to be able to come to the zoo and volunteer. Now as we all know the Crocodile hunter is a very huge Icon in the entertainment buisness. So if your going to try to be a volunteer, Treat it as you would a regular job. Now people who have done enough volunteer work have also been hired there too. so if your looking for a job, you have a chance if you do a great job. Brian the head crocodile keeper started out in the volunteer program. The best way to get in there as soon as possible is to apply about 6 months in advance.

The Australia Zoo's

Internships

Internships are available through The Australia zoo, but are quite hard to get. You must first be apart of University of the Sunshine Coast's study abroad and internship program. I know they have some cause I have read about one person doing their internship on koala's at the zoo. The only advise I can give at this point is to contact them and see if you are able to get an internship with them and see if you are able to obtain an internship through your school. If your not in school all you can do is ask and find out or there is still the volunteer program that is available to get some experience with as well. Give me alittle time and I will try and contact The Australia Zoo and get the information straight from them. What you should know for the internship
